- Proquest - Search under specific keywords for recent articles from the NY Times, general magazines and scholarly journals.
- Use Advanced Search mode and limit search to "citation and abstract" to get highly pertinent articles.
- Check the "full text" and "scholarly journals" boxes to get just those articles.
- Chapin magazines on current affairs: The
Economist; UN Chronicle (available
in Proquest, too)
- WorldPress.org - Nonpartisan compilation of articles from newspapers and magazines from around the world.
- AsiaSource - "A Resource of the
Asia Society": current news, profiles of newsmakers, links to sites and
resources on Asia.
- Evaluate
web sites carefully. In current affairs, it is particularly important
to check
that information is accurate
and comes from an authoritative source.
