- "Global Studies: Latin
America"
is a very useful series on the region that includes "Country Reports"
(on current political and
economic status) and "Articles from the World Press" (articles on
environmental, cultural, political and economic issues in various
countries).
Chapin Databases & Online Magazines:
- Economist.com -
Chapin has both print and online versions of this magazine with its
international coverage of business and politics.
- History Resource Center -- World section
is a great source for finding reference
articles on countries & their history; also includes magazine
articles from The Economist
and other journals.
- Proquest - Includes full-text
magazine articles, current newspaper articles (including the NYT), and articles from the Historical New York
Times (1851-2003). The NY
Times has many articles on Latin American countries, and is also
a source of
photographs and images.
