Download each file, and you will find powerpoint presentations that will allow you to enter in your own questions and answers. (LS 11/5/03)
Suggestions for Increasing Tech Usage
- use a projector occasionally in the classroom; projectors are all available for borrowing from room 39
- post information on a web sub-page of gatornet.chapin.edu
- try using laptops in the classroom via the laptop delivery system 2-3 times during the year
- try using PowerPoint and a projector to highlight important points of an upcoming lesson or topic
- try collecting one assignment electronically and providing feedback to the girls via e-mail
- try using inspiration, a new web site or webquest to enhance a lesson
- try allowing the students to voice record on GatorNet on an applicable assignment
- create a personal mailing list of your students and use e-mail to communicate with them as a group throughout the course

A Summary of Pioneer Skills and Activities
Part One: Classroom and Teacher Activities (34 points)
complete any 4 of these for 8.5 points each
- Use a projector in the classroom with your laptop as part of a class; write about the experience as part of Diaries (ML)

- Teach a colleague about some topic you have recently learned -- preferably in your department -- and write about the experience in Diaries (ML)
- Read
Chapter 11 in the Summercore Primer and explore some of the links in the Honesty Section above; share an overview with Diaries (ML)
- Post one or more audio files of your explanation of topic(s) on your cluster web page
- Post one or more videos of your explanation of topic(s) on your cluster web page
- Using a digital camera, create stils or a movie of some classroom activity and post on our intranet (password protected)
