The BLOG of Mr. Sulllivan

started 10/27/04

intended for our Boston Home friends

  • Entry 1: I predict the Red Sox will lose to St. Louis in 7 ... Click here to listen to a phone call during the 7th game of the NY/Boston series (10/20/04)
  • Entry 2: Hey everybody at the Boston Home I was finally able to teach Steve how to make this web page. I hope we can keep up to date on the happenings at Chapin and the Home. Let me know what you think of this???????? ... Click here to listen to a phone call from 10/25/04
  • Entry 3: We are trying to make sure Steve knows how to do this so we are practicing
  • Entry 4: What big Patriots fan picked the Jets over the Pats???????????? He's one of Bostons' own and a well known visitor at the Boston Home.
  • Entry 5:Richard I defended your Cardinals the best I could against Steves' unrelenting criticism. I LOST AGAIN . Richard the least you could have done was to privately tell me THAT THEY STINK and I could have saved some dough. Congratulations to Colleen and the real Red Sox Fans up there. Unfortunately we only had one real fan here at Chapin. At the beginning of the Yankee Series we had about 15 after game two it was down to about 7 and after game 3 there was only one fan left with any faith in the Sox. It was amazing in the Cardinal series there were 15 again after game two there were 25 and after game three we had about 50. A real loyal and solid fan base.
  • Entry 6: I had a dream last week and woke up in a sweat just thinking about it. In the dream, I was stuck in traffic on a tiny NYC street and then realized that someone was running a contest to win a turkey. All of a sudden, Steve gets out of his car and they announce that Steve has won the turkey. He starts walking with the live turkey singing "street, street, 90th street ... walking down the street with a turkey at my feet" ... then when I asked Steve how he knew what street to turn down to win the contest, he says that Sam called him on the cell phone to tell him ;-)
  • Entry 7: I woke up this morning and felt like gloating after Steve lost over $250 by choosing Dallas over Buffalo ... here is my first song on the phone complete or just the lyrics ... "street, street 90th street ... Steve is going down, down to defeat!" ... Marlon Henry writes: "This only leads me wonder why Gene gave up his singing career to be the head of security. I'll be sure to let him know that I heard his new song."
  • Entry 8: Gene Sullivan-fs on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 6:46 AM -0500 wrote: (15 min.there already back) I really should have got a set with this computer but you weren't in charge then and I never did. If you had been in charge you would know that unlike the macs the dells don't have a built in speaker. As efficient as you are I'm sure I would have had them when presented with this computer. Thank you Gene Sullivan (who quite often takes care of the computer department )
  • Entry 9: "Richard Kaplan-vis" on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 11:10 AM -0500 wrote: Steve, Sorry I didn't get into your Super Bowl contest but I'm glad Dave won. it looks like your new strategy is working and that Gene is on a long losing streak. Maybe he should get on the Patriot/Red Sox bandwagon. What do you think? Richard
  • Entry 10 ... click here for my note to Lynne regarding "low pants"
  • Entry 11: Sept 23, 2005 ... click here ... one week to go before the end of the baseball season for 2005 ... ... click here ... one week to go before the end of the baseball season for 2005!
  • Entry 12: December 16, 2006 ... I asked Steve to do me a minor favor and get me an autograph from Cousin Brucie the other day when he went with Class 8 for my friend Bill Benis from Dicky Doo and the Dont's ... see this link from 1957-59 ... I had to wait until Steve read the Boston Globe article about their new wonder pitcher Matsusaka from the Red Sox before he posted the file

I can't believe it took him 2 days to get me the autograph and another full day to post the video below for my friend Bill Benis from Dicky Doo and the Don'ts! If he had just given me the file, I could have done it in 33 minutes! I had to wait until he drove to Boston and read about their new wonder pitcher Matsusaka (#18) before he posted the file.
