Clothing

In class we compared and contrasted a typical girl's clothing here to one in India. For example a long skirt that we might wear here would be called a ghagra in India. A scarf here serves the same purpose of an accessory there, usually to enhance an outfit and is called a chunni.

LANGUAGE

The National Language of India is Hindi, but there are 14 officially recognized languages with 1400 dialects. Click here for more information.
