Games We Can Play in Middle School

Alphabetical Order

To Middle School girls: Our goals at Chapin are to stay focused on "school-appropriate" computer usage. The following URLs are games that are okay to play when at Chapin, since they have been specified by Middle School teachers in terms of fitting in with the curriculum and being educational. There are many links to other games on our Chapin Web pages that are fine for home use but not for school.

    Typing Games:

  • Al Bunny Typing
  • Arcade style typing tutor for the Mac ... posted Nov 2004 ... we have purchased an extended site license for this software from Alex White ... the SERIAL number is posted in Software 4 Students section of Public Conferences within GatorNet .. the programmer Alex writes in response to some students being unable to get past level 3 that "when your student enters the serial # (remembering to press enter before pressing the return to game button). When she does so a window will pop up saying a) the # was incorrect or b) she entered the right number. Knowing which response she gets will help me narrow my focus. Also if the window says that she entered the correct number, have her play the game through the third level to make sure that this was not the problem all along. (The registration window is a bit confusing. I need to make it fail proof.) There was a problem with an older version. Version 1.1.8 can be downloaded here http://homepage.mac.com/whiteman/ATT.html."
