The Chapin One Minute Typing Test!
Check out your typing speed with our own Chapin "test yourself" one minute typing test;
find out if you are Basic (12), Intermediate (21), Thirds (31), JV (42) , Varsity (61) or perhaps Super-Varsity (90) which is a unique Chapin category achieved by over 10 girls and no faculty!

Use the neat trick of "dragging the link to your desktop" so that the file from the Web moves to your computer.
- During April/May, all class 4 students must pass at least Intermediate (21 WPM)
- During April/May, all class 5 students must pass at least Thirds (31 WPM)
- During April/May, all class 6 and 7 students must pass at least JV (42 WPM)

How to create your own student account:
Suggestion: Use your GatorNet Login as your Typing Pal Login, e.g. 2006JaneD and perhaps your same password so you make it easier for yourself!
Write down our Chapin School access code for Typing Pal (chap0246) and then click right here ... choose REGISTER NOW at the bottom of the screen. You will be asked for our access code (chap0246) and then later for several pieces of information. Use your tech smarts to get an account and click SUBMIT. Make sure you write down your new Typing Pal login and password in two places.
